This is our trip report we were in Rodanthe last week 8/21-28 and had a wonderful time. It was one of the most relaxing vacations we have had on HI.
Went to the beach everyday the pool and hot tub was great! I think I partied a bit too much Tuesday night and had a headache Wed am but it was so much fun
The only shopping I did was to the Food Lion in Avon and to pick up extras at the Liberty Convenience store in Rodanthe. I came back home with lots of $$$
The beach was great and the water was warm, no red flags until Friday afternoon around 3 pm.Dinners:
Saturday: homemade NC barbecue, coleslaw, baked beans and chips
Sunday: Spaghetti, garlic bread, salad and homemade brownies and cookies
Monday: Hamburgers, Hot dogs, leftover baked beans and corn
Tuesday: Shrimp, crabs, crab cakes, pasta salad and hush puppies
Wednesday: Our Luau party night with a big flip flop pinata; All kinds of appetizers made by everyone, meatballs, steak fajitas, 7 layer dip, taco salad, etc
Thursday: 3 kinds of chicken, grilled, barbecued, creole, green beans & potatoes, salad, rolls
Friday: Lisa's Pizzeria and everyone loved it!

My sisters Patti, Kim and me stopped by the Nags Head Liquor Store on the way in Saturday afternoon. The amount was $188 and we had to fill out a transfer form providing my ID and our beach house in Rodanthe
. This was for everyone in the house and we did have some leftover which we brought home. The 2 large bottles of Vox Vodka $46 each and Jack Daniels cost the most...
