Rain and cooler weather!

We finally got some much needed rain and some cooler weather. Going up to 86 today it's been so hot and dry all summer.

Leaving next Saturday for the Outer Banks!!!

About Me

Dee: United States; I have loved the Outer Banks since my first visit in 1978. My husband Earl and I thought that we had found paradise when we reached Hatteras Island. It still is beautiful including the Northern Beaches of Corolla, Duck, Southern Shores, Kitty Hawk, Kill Devil Hills, Nags Head and Manteo. Then came the development explosion in the 1980's. It seems everyone else loves the Outer Banks too. I liked Outer Banks back in the 1970's and 1980's, however now I found my new favorite place and that is Topsail Island, NC. I lived in the area growing up when my dad was in the USMC stationed at Camp LeJuene. I hadn't been back for years then a hurricane whopped Hatteras Island in August 2011 and I had to find a new vacation destination and that was Topsail Island. I love it so much less people, less traffic no I95 to deal with and it's cheaper to live in the nearby towns. Our plans are to move down to the Holly Ridge area next Spring 2016.
