February 13, 2008 Love is in the air!!!

Valentine's Day is tomorrow... Having said that my husband and I have been together for 36 years and do not feel the need to purchase cards, flowers, candy because a card company tells is too. We love each other all year long.

On December 31, 2007 I had a fainting spell and it lasted about 20 minutes until I felt okay. Our friends called the EMT's and checked me out and I felt I was okay and didn't go to the ER. FF to Sunday evening February 10, 2008 I had another fainting spell and I passed out again. This time I felt light-headed and felt I needed to lay down. I walked down our hallway toward our bedroom, got inside the bedroom and I heard I far off loud noise, heard our dog bark. I opened my eyes and realized it was me that made the noise by passing out and falling in our bedroom. I told my husband that I was okay and not to call the ambulance. I was still light-headed. He helped me into the bed however I was still not feeling normal. I felt I had to go to the bathroom so I got out of bed and made it to the bathroom. I passed out again, he helped out of the bathroom and toward our cedar chest and I passed out again. I got up into our bed and in about 30 minutues I felt okay. I went to our doctor Monday morning and Dr. Olin discussed with us Vaso Vago Syncopy. Passing out from the blood vessels contricting and the BP is lowered thus you can pass out. Dr. Olin suggested that I do a follow-up to Dr. Mousavi, a Cardiologist. I went to Dr. Mousavi's office and they put a heart monitor on me for 24 hours. I returned the heart monitor on February 12, 2008. Dr. Mousavi's office told me that they would contact Dr. Olin with the results and contact me later in the day. I called Dr. Olin's office and told them that I would get the x-ray on my shoulder from the fall Sunday night the following day since I had the heart monitor on. They told me that Dr. Mousavi had already spoken to Dr. Olin and to call their office to schedule an evaluation. I did this and was at Dr. Mousavi office at 1 PM on Tuesday, February 12, 2007 as they called me back saying that they had a cancellation. They did another EKG which the heart was a continous EKG for 24 hours. Dr. Mousavi did a examination and a family history, medications that I am curerntly taking. To rule out blocked arteries I am scheduled next Wednesday for a Nulcear Stress Test. My sister Bonnie has had two of these in the past at St. Luke's Mayo Clinic. I was advised not to drive until after they do the test next week to see was caused the black-outs. I am on leave from work at least until next week. I called Dr. Olin's office today to ask that he have the results from my x-ray, a doctor's note for my absence from work from February 11-20, 2008 and what medications I shouldn't take the evening of February 19th and the morning of February 20th the day of the Stress test. I will go with Earl to his appointment tomorrow morning with Dr. Olin to get this information and paper for my supervisor.
