I'm counting down the days until our next trip to the Outer Banks and I've got 129 more days until we head for the Cavalier Motel at MP 8.5 on Beach Road. The fall is one of the best times down in the Outer Banks. The busy summer season is over and not as much traffic and the weather is usually great. We have been staying at the Cavalier Motel in one of their cottages since 2001. We bring our pets and I think they even enjoy it. Well, except for the sand spurs I think that is what they are called. Our dog Skippy hates them and so do we. They hurt like hell! I bought some of those little booties for Skippy to wear and he didn't want any part of them. Oh well, I should have known because he won't even keep a collar or harness on him. There's Skippy at the Cavalier Motel near the cottage we always stay in. This motel is still owned by original family members that built the motel back in 1949. That's my Toyota and Bryan's Honda. This is Tony our cat.
Here is a rooftop view looking toward the Atlantic ocean.
